To motivate and monitor volunteer service, we are requiring 10 hours per year (20 total) of community and/or church service as part of the confirmation program. Community service hours are to be completed before confirmation day. It is our7 intention to develop people who are willing to participate in service to Christ. For service projects we will assign hours for programs and projects. The following system will be used:
1. One hour for each youth meeting attended. (No hours for recreational outings).
2. One hour for each full hour of service at a church dinner or function.
3. One hour will be given for each time a student assists with altar guild, as an usher, an acolyte, etc. Each student will be assigned to assist in these areas.
4. As more opportunities arise throughout the year, a student can earn more hours for each hour of service.
To receive full credit for each hour of service, the student must fill out the form below. Extra forms can be found at the church on the table in the narthex.
