CREATION MUSEUM + ARK ENCOUNTER
Will you join us on a Creation Museum and Ark Encounter trip this fall?
The Bible comes to life at the Creation Museum and the Ark Encounter! These family-friendly attractions near Cincinnati explore creation science with stunning exhibits, dinosaur bones, fossils, botanical gardens, a planetarium, zoo, zip line course, and more. This breathe taking experience will equip you to better defend your faith with a Biblical worldview of creation vs evolution. They also now have a massive, highly accurate 1:100 scale model of first-century Jerusalem.

There is a sign up sheet in Narthex. Price is based on 30 passengers minimum, and we are limited to 40 people.
Travel via the Faith Lutheran motor coach.
TENTATIVE SCHEDULE:
Day 1: Leave Pierre at 10:00 a.m. for Coralville, Iowa. Spend the evening at Quality Inn. Group dinner options to be determined. Continental breakfast.
Day 2: Leave IA in the morning for Lawrenceburg, IN. Check in at Red Roof. Group dinner options to be determined.Continental breakfast.
Day 3: Tour Ark Encounter at Williamstown, KY
Day 4: Tour Creation Museum at Petersburg KY
Day 5/6: Travel back to Pierre, SD via same route and motel.
ESTIMATED COSTS: $870
Travel cost reimbursement - We will request a reimbursement of travel costs in the amount of $220 per person (payable to Faith Lutheran). Note: We are licensed as a "Not For Hire" motor coach and therefore cannot put together a typical travel package for profit. This request is a reimbursement/suggested donation for the trip travel costs. All other costs are on your own.
We are planning one day at each site. The combo group rate at $100 adults, $90 seniors, and youth are $55 or less. As a group, the church has to pre-purchase these tickets and request reimbursement from each person.
Lodging - Estimated at $100 per night, x 5 nights. That's $250 each assuming double occupancy (or $500 for individual private rooms). Motels: We will make the group reservations for a block of motel rooms but you will then book and adjust for your party, whether single, double, family, etc.
Meals - Estimated at $50/day x 6 days. While traveling, we will make stops every few hours, often at truck stops which will have fast food chains nearby. Breakfasts will most likely be continental at the motel. Lunches on your own at the event for the day. Evenings we could try to do group meals.
Bus drivers are donating their time. Any remaining proceeds or tips will go to future mission trips.
DEADLINE:
If you are interested but not sure, that's fine. We need to gauge the interest level, so please sign up in the narthex or contact the office to get on the list by July 31. Once we hit 40, we are full and we will start a waiting list. At that point, we will contact you with further registration instructions.
We will then require registration and a deposit by August 31 so we can finalize our group reservations.
First come, first serve. This is open to the public. You may invite other friends and family.
