Faith Lutheran Motor Coach
Hebrews 3 reminds us of the power of fellowship. It tells us to "encourage one another day after day". Travel excursions are a great way to get to know our church brothers and sisters, to build up, encourage, and bring joy to each other, while seeing God's creation.
We pray that it will be a blessing to our church body and others as we grow together in faith and travel the region with the Word of God in our hearts and on our bus.
Suggestions include:
- Group Mission Trips
- Trips to the Ark and Creation Museum to grow our understanding of the Bible.
- Music Festivals are a great outing for the youth groups.
- Church related conventions like LWML or men's retreats.
- 3 Day excursions to see God's creation at Medora, the Peace Gardens, or the Black Hills.

Tour Costs
We will try to itemize the costs that you will incur with each tour, i.e., event gate fees, meals, etc. Typically these will be planned out but at your own expense. There are also many costs involved with the fuel and motor coach maintenance. Suggested donations will be made know with each tour.

Private Coach
These trips are "not commercial" (not for hire). These tours and mission trips are conducted with volunteer drivers. The motor coach requires a driver with CDL and passenger endorsement. Currently, we have four volunteer drivers who are interested in providing this service as our schedules permit.
About the Motor Coach
In 2022, the Mexico Mission team purchased a used motor coach for our annual trip and other church purposes.
A few notes about the motor coach bus. We can fit 42 passengers maximum but try to limit that to 40 for special needs. Also we often reserve the front two seats as singles for the driver assistant and the trip coordinator.
The motor coach has:
- A lavatory and a sink.
- We typically schedule stops at truck stops for food and restrooms and stretching every 3-4 hours.
- Every seat has a drink holder but we prefer to only allow bottles with lids that can be closed.
- It has an electric cooler that would hold a case of water or food.
- There are electric outlets on one side of the bus for charging phones or laptops. Share as needed.
- The A/C works well but it's not the same as cooling down a car, it's a large vehicle and a lot of volume to cool down. We suggest having a sweater or blanket for traveling as everyone has different needs. There are overhead fans as well to move air.
-It has overhead passenger storage bins and underneath bays for luggage.
-We installed a few 10" TV screens so could plugin a DVD or stream YouTube etc.

Bus Fund:
Donations are welcome. There have been many mechanical repairs to ensure safe and comfortable travels. We have also made several updates such as new flooring, radio/video system, washroom sink, electrical outlets, a cooler, and an air ride seat. You also won't miss the new vehicle wrap that will share the gospel as we travel.
